Centrally located to most things we wanted to see/do. Friendly polite staff who always had a smile.
Room was dark as not much natural light getting through. King-size bed would of been much more comfortable to sleep in rather than a double bed. Don't let above put you off as some clients prefer this. We would stay again if available next time we are in town.

The staff at the Grey Street Hotel was so helpful -- we had to have bags sent ahead to the hotel and they were ready and waiting for us. We arrived before check-in time and they stowed our backpacks for us while we went to explore the city. Newcastle is a gorgeous city and Grey Street is breathtaking.
The elevator is quite tiny but it did the job. The bathroom could benefit from additional hooks and places to put toiletry bags. The coffee machine at breakfast was having issues. That's about it.
