“Boutique hotel prices, but absolutely none of the boutique hotel standards.”
The situation
We regularly stay in boutique hotels, and our experience here was extremely disappointing. The staff were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful, and the level of service was virtually non-existent. Our bathroom had visible mould, and the toilet did not flush properly. In the room there was no complimentary bottle of water, not even a drinking glass, and basic amenities normally expected at this price — such as cotton buds, a shower cap or body lotion — were simply absent. Breakfast was particularly disappointing in both quality and choice. In our experience, even the standard breakfast offered at an Ibis is considerably better. We were also required to complete a document containing questions that we found bizarre and inappropriate, without understanding why such information was being requested. Finally, the advertised parking is extremely misleading: there is only one parking space for all hotel guests. If it is occupied, you have to find parking in the surrounding streets, which is very difficult. Considering the condition of the hotel, the lack of amenities, the poor service and the breakfast, the price is completely disproportionate to what is actually provided. We would not stay here again. Nel nostro bagno c’era muffa ben visibile e lo scarico del WC non funzionava correttamente. In camera non c’era neppure una bottiglia d’acqua né un bicchiere. Mancavano inoltre servizi basilari che ci si aspetterebbe in una struttura di questo prezzo, come cotton fioc, cuffia per la doccia e crema per il corpo. La colazione è stata particolarmente deludente, sia per qualità sia per scelta. Secondo la nostra esperienza, anche la colazione standard di un Ibis è decisamente migliore.

The view from the terrace was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offered outside under the trees, or inside.
The bed was a little too firm. Charging 30 EUR extra for breakfast on the terrace. A 10 min mostly level walk into the old city, but it did provide the exception al views of the city and surrounding countryside.
