Os funcionários muito prestativos, o hotel fica na ilha de Elephant, mas para ir até o hotel é só pegar um barquinho, sai a cada 5 minutos e custa 15 libras egípcias. Fiquei num apartamento inteiro, mas só usei o quarto de casal. Tudo conforme descrito.

I stayed at Basmatic Nubian Guest House for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. The owner and the staff are really friendly and hospitable. The view of the blue Nile with mango trees around it with the beautiful Aga Khan Mausoleum in front made it perfect for my stay. I stayed on the rooftop most of the time, and even on the hottest days with temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius, the cool breeze made it possible to enjoy the rooftop for most of the day. The food was also quite amazing. Every single day, I had dinner at Basmatic Nubian Guest House and tried various versions of Tagine. If you are looking for a quite, peaceful, serene place to sit in silence and enjoy the view with your book or experience the quite life of Nubians, this is a wonderful spot in Aswan. The island is not too far from Aswan city and crossing with ferry cost 15 EGP only (one-way). For your arrival and departure, Mohamed provide a boat free-of-charge, and is very flexible and accommodating. Excellent value-for-money and I highly recommend this place.
“Elefantina top!”
La posizione è senza dubbio il principale punto di forza di questo hotel. Situato nella parte più autentica e naturalistica dell’Isola Elefantina, permette di vivere un’esperienza immersa nella tranquillità del Nilo senza rinunciare alla comodità di Assuan, facilmente raggiungibile grazie ai traghetti pubblici che collegano l’isola alla città dall’alba fino a mezzanotte al costo di soli 15 pound egiziani a tratta. La terrazza del ristorante, dove viene servita anche la colazione, offre una vista straordinaria su uno dei tratti più suggestivi del fiume. Le camere sono accoglienti, pulite e dotate di tutti i comfort essenziali: un’ottima connessione Wi-Fi, aria condizionata e ventilatori a soffitto. Per gli ospiti europei può forse mancare il bidet, ma si tratta di un dettaglio trascurabile rispetto al fascino complessivo del luogo. Tutto intorno si respira un’atmosfera ancora autenticamente rurale. I vicoli sabbiosi si snodano tra le tradizionali case nubiane, in un villaggio che conserva la propria identità nonostante la crescente popolarità turistica della zona. A meno di due minuti di traghetto dal centro di Assuan, l’isola rappresenta un’alternativa sorprendente al traffico e alla vivacità della città. Passeggiare tra le sue stradine significa scoprire un ambiente accogliente, popolato da persone di grande gentilezza e da numerosi animali domestici lasciati liberi di muoversi all’interno della comunità: capre, pecore, galline, anatre, oche, muli..! Non ci sono coccodrilli, tranquilli! Quelli si trovano solo oltre la Diga Alta verso Abu Simbel e il Sudan. L’Isola Elefantina ospita inoltre diversi ristoranti e caffè, oltre a un’interessante area archeologica a cielo aperto e liberamente accessibile se ci si perde un po’ tra le case e i cortili. È una destinazione consigliata a chi desidera conoscere un Egitto più autentico, al di fuori delle rotte turistiche convenzionali che seguono il corso del Nilo tra Luxor e Abu Simbel.

L'hospitalité de l'hôte, sa gentillesse et sa bienveillance. Les logements sont propres, les chambres climatisées, et le rooftop vous offre une carte postale chaque soir! Les habitants de l'île elephantine sont gentils et bienveillants.
