“Good budget hotel.”
The Park is a great budget hotel in a convenient location for the train & parliament end of Wellington. Te Papa and Courtney place are just over a 1km walk. Access to both Lampton Quay and The Terrace from the hotel is convenient. The room was small but functional and had chairs, a coffee table and a basic kitchenette. If you are just wanting a place to sleep, prepare breakfast (or a very simple meal) on a budget I would totally recommend The Park.
Whilst the room was a very reasonable price, the onsite parking was expensive. (I understand that in the central city space is at a premium but it pushed the overall cost of the stay up considerably).
