Terrible reception. The staff member was smoking outside while I was waiting for her. When she finally came inside, she stayed on the phone talking for about 5 minutes while I was standing right in front of her. Then she took my passport while huffing and puffing with an attitude. The road to the hotel is completely broken up. The room had scratched furniture and walls. The outer door handle/door falls off when you touch it, and the curtains barely open because the clips get stuck. There is no air conditioning. The balcony is shared with the neighbors with only a metal barrier separating them, and there is no insect repellent provided anywhere except on the pool balcony. At breakfast/restaurant, I asked the waiter for a coffee cup because all the available ones were dirty. He claimed there was no coffee available, even though the pot was sitting right in front of him. I had to take a juice glass and pour coffee into it myself just because he was too lazy to clean a cup. Very shady and bizarre behavior. To top it off, the receptionist told me, "We upgraded you to the new building"—as if I hadn't already chosen and paid for that exact room! I have no idea how this place is rated 5 stars.
