“Cheapest hotel in Cheltenham for a reason”
Great location , cheap and clean (enough)
Strange feeling to the hotel overall when we arrived, very empty with limited furnishings but many many adverts and posters for the company who had recently bought the hotel. Parking was difficult to locate and I would not recommend using if you have a large car as the entrance road was tiny. Our room, room 12, was on the ground floor and was directly next to both the staff room and the car park with us having a door in the room which could access the car park, the room was also strange with a middle room having an almost kitchen set up minus the cooking appliances but having many storage cupboards, it seemed to be a converted concierge room. On night one of our stay the fire alarm was set off due to another guest and the overnight receptionist seemed unsure how to turn off the alarm or gave us aologies in the morning for us being woken up, the morning after we then had difficulty with our hot water in the room and discovered that the shower had been fitted incorrectly with the cold side being hot and vice versa. On night two of our stay we were continually kept awake from 4 in the morning by constant noise in the landing and in the car park and the smell of marijuana from outside too. The bed was decent but not brilliant and the pillows were particularly lumpy and small. Overall I wouldn't stay again.

Location and price
To say it's "tired" is an understatement. The staff seem to be doing what the can with the premises but the place is a dump. The rooms smell, there was woodlice and precious occupants' hair on the bathroom floor. This is clearly an underinvested, poorly run hotel.
