We were extremely disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this hotel. From the beginning, there was a lot of confusion. First, we were told that the transfer would be free of charge, only to be told later that we had to pay $20 for it. We were also offered a lunch box because we had to leave before breakfast. Unfortunately, it was not ready at the agreed time, and as we had to leave, we could not wait any longer. The most unacceptable part of our stay, however, was the incredible noise coming from a generator on the roof. Our room was on the top floor (6th floor), and the constant noise and strong vibrations made it almost impossible to sleep. Even earplugs did not help because the vibrations were simply too intense. I have no idea whether the situation is better on the lower floors, but our experience was extremely unpleasant. We wanted to inform the front desk, but the telephone in our room was not working, so we had to go downstairs in person. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do to resolve the problem. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of organization and, above all, the unbearable noise completely ruined our stay. It is especially disappointing that this was our last night in Sri Lanka, as this is unfortunately how we will remember the end of our trip. We would definitely not recommend this hotel.
