βHotel Accademia was the perfect location for what we wanted to see in Verona. A very beautiful city.β
Breakfast was very good. The food and selection was very good also. Great location. On the door step of great shopping malls and markets, the Piazza Bra, Colosseum, Juliet's balcony, the river, etc. The room was very good with a small balcony. The staff that we encountered were also very professional and friendly. Particularly the Indian gentleman that assisted us with our heavy luggage. Very friendly and gave some good advice regarding things to do. The actual hotel itself was quite amazing. It had a very luxurious feel but from another era such as the 30's or 40's.
We can't fault the hotel or staff. If there was anything that we could place in this area, it wouldn't be a bad comment but casual observations. The top floor terrace was "fine" but a little underwhelming and I believe it could have added more to the hotel as it didn't match the rest of the hotels excellent classical vibe. The only other observation was that if you are on the first floor, you will have to negotiate stairs. There is an elevator but due to the nature of the buildings lay out, if you have heavy luggage or find stairs challenging, then this would be a consideration. Again, not a criticism as we found it part of the charm, but if you are intending to stay, it may be worth inquiring about whether the elevator will take you directly to your floor if you have issues with stairs.
