I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Carlton Capri. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and located in a quieter part of Venice, away from some of the busiest tourist areas. My room had a small balcony overlooking picturesque Venetian buildings, which added a lot of charm to the experience, although there was no water view. The location is especially convenient if you are arriving in Venice by train or bus. I arrived by bus at Piazzale Roma, the final bus stop in Venice, and the hotel is fairly close from there. However, travelers with heavy or multiple pieces of luggage should be aware that reaching the hotel requires crossing two bridges with stairs. There are luggage porters available around Piazzale Roma who can assist for a fee, which was approximately โฌ20 or more depending on the amount of luggage. Once you get past the bridges, the hotel is not very far, although it is slightly off the main path and can be a little tricky to find the first time. Most of Veniceโs well-known attractions, including Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, are approximately a 20โ25 minute walk from the hotel. You can also use the vaporetto to get around, but I chose to walk everywhere and found it to be a great way to experience Venice and explore the city along the way. The service throughout my stay was very good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I appreciated the cleanliness, peaceful location, beautiful surroundings, and convenient access to Piazzale Roma. I would recommend Hotel Carlton Capri, particularly for travelers arriving by bus or train, but I would definitely plan ahead if traveling with heavy luggage.
