“Hotel good, breakfast awful.”
Everything except the breakfast.
Breakfast was awful. We really liked your hotel, and we stayed 2 nights and so had 2 breakfasts. Ive never had a breakfast as bad as the one offered by your hotel. The "Hot" foods were luke warm. The plates to put these "hot" foods were cold, so the luke warm food quickly went cold. The overall choice offered was very limited. There wasn't even fresh orange juice. There was a carafe of what was described as orange juice, but it was in fact standard carton-ed orange juice which was poured into a carafe, with lots of ice in it (to make it cold) but which actually diluted it so much that was just colored water. The bread offerings was also limited and what was there was so quality that one wouldn't touch it. I ordered a flat white coffee but was delivered a frothy white water with absolutely no coffee in it. When I pointed this out to a member of staff, she just laughed and took the cup away to get a new one. And these are just examples. The breakfast was so bad, that it meant that whoever was in charge of breakfast had no understanding whatsoever of how breakfast should be served in a 5 star hotel. I'm not saying the individual who was breakfast manager those mornings had no understanding, I'm saying that at the top level management (the catering director) of the hotel had no understanding. That person should move to a different job, not in hospitality.
