  “Not for families with kids.”

  Made a reservation, not first time there, last time told me not to book with kids so the price won’t jump because kids stay free there and so I did but when I arrived they didn’t have babies bed and offered me to let a one year old to sleep in a mattress on the floor.

  “Absolutely Brilliant !”

  After staying at many brilliant resorts in Thailand, we now feel we have found the perfect place . The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and all the staff are super friendly. We stayed in the Gardens with a pool view, the room was very spacious and kept super clean. Breakfast was buffet style, the choice was vast , catering for every taste . We used the beach front pool , which was brilliant . The pool location to the beach was perfect, 3 strides and your on the lovely Cheweng beach "this was the icing on the cake for us". The hotel location is perfect, out of the front entrance, turn left, walk 5mins and your into the area where all the restaurants and bars are . I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We have now found our perfect hotel in Thailand ... We will definitely be back next year. Nick and Jo

  “A family holiday in paradise”

  We stayed her for 10 nights and the hot is beautiful. The location is stunning. The view from the pool by the beach is beautiful. We stayed in a two story bungalow on the other side of the road. There is a security guard who stops the traffic for you to cross. Across the road the gardens and two other stunning pools. It is paradise. The room was great as we were a family, with two children age 8 and 11. Buffet breakfast has so much choice. The iced coffees are amazing. We often had lunch by the pool or in the restaurant. We also had dinner here. Or walked 5 minutes into chewing where there are lots of restaurants, 7-11, bars etc. there is so much to do on the island. The hotel also had a bbq and fire show. You could also pay for a private dinner on the beach. We had the most amazing stay. Thank you

  “I think we made the right choice!”

  I chose Amari because the mixture of reviews, quality, atmosphere and amenities, combined with budget, pleased me the most! And i was not disappointed. A swift transfer from the airport Fast check-in Very nice room, as requested ground floor and poolside (Thai Village room) The resort "looks great", pleasant to be there and to walk around Good pools Nicely maintained beach in front I did not find it troublesome at all to cross the street to go to breakfast or the beach/beachside pool. The hotel has an employee to cross you over safely. I have not encountered a staff member being less corteous. The night market and shopping area are only a 10-15 minute walk away so you are not "right there in the noise". Let me emphasise the budget part. At Amari, you get value for money. Have i weighed and seen other properties? Of course, as a travel advisor i have to. But it feels for us as we have made the right choice to spend 4 nights here. Thank you, staff at Amari, for hosting us so pleasantly!

  “Another fabulous holiday at the Amari Koh Samui”

  Our 7th visit to the Amari Koh Samui, the first being 2009. Yet again, it did not disappoint. We stayed in a Grand Deluxe Ocean View Room which provided the perfect accommodation for our holiday. The staff were again fabulous, from the Reception, cleaning and bar. Whilst all were courteous, friendly and professional, special mention must go to Penn, Honey, Boom, Deer and Noi who made our stay so memorable. There are aspects that need improvement (although I must stress that these didn’t spoil our holiday), but for balance I believe they should be mentioned, so here goes. Some of the groups/families used the bar seating area to eat non hotel food, sit in wet clothes on chairs/settee’s that meant others could not use them afterwards; this needed to be challenged by the hotel staff as it spoiled the experience for others. I suspect because the Thai culture meant the staff didn’t want to upset anyone, the offenders were left to do as they pleased and the area became a tip. Senior management need to intervene. The only other area that wasn’t as good as previous visits was the visibility of senior management. Previously the General Manager used to make a point of getting out and about to meet clientele; we never saw them at all during this visit. Also, a reception used to be held for returning guests but this also appears to have stopped. Perhaps a review of management exposure would be beneficial. But please do not let these comments take away the fact that the Amari Koh Samui is a fabulous place for a memorable holiday. We will certainly be returning in the future. Our thanks to all staff who we met for another memorable experience. Mark and Jackie Page
