“Great building great location. Tired decor”
Location. History.
Staff need to realize that the history will only carry you so far. China is changing they need to embrace tourism and be more considerate to outsiders.

Famous, historical hotel, right in front of People’s Park (several subway lines and the start of E Nanjing road) with very polite staff.
Room and especially bathroom could be bigger. Still needing a little more refurbishing (one can hear the water running from next door). Breakfast with good food but not enough tables (one had to share table with strangers).
