“I give up”
I'm a bit disappointed.I booked a King Jr Suite. Every day for the past 3 days there's an issue. The suite comes with a nicer coffee maker, but they did not supply the pods for it, just the coffee packets for the lower end coffee machine. PK, fine. I ask the housekeeper for the basic coffee maker so I can use something. I mention it the next day but they never did anything about it, except make me wait for a manager who ultimately did nothing while I wait for nonsense. Currently, I just returned to the room and the housekeeper only made up 1/2 the room and forgot the rest. This included replenishing the coffee for the basic machine I am left with, so there's currently no coffee in my suite while I take an hour to relax. Meanwhile, I made the mistake of calling the front desk to get them to get housekeeping to finish their job (it's now 3:30pm), so again I'm waiting for hotel staff while I simply want to relax in my room with a coffee, maybe if that is possible in my "suite", before I go out again. But no, I have to be stressed by the hotel and then hit the road again.
“Close to the airport with a complimentary shuttle”
IHG Armon Plaza is located a 20-minute drive from the airport, YUL, and provide a complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The hotel is newly renovated, and has a nice lobby area. The bar and the restaurant is on the lobby level which also is where you find the indoor pool. There is a small gym on the second floor with a few machines, and next door is the guest laundry. The rooms are nice and big and the suites has a kitchenette with a larger fridge and a microwave. If you come by car, there is free parking at the hotel and there is both shopping and restaurants within a few minutes drive from the hotel. The hotel is a good choice for a layover in Montreal.
“Good for an overnight stop”
We stayed one night as a family to utilize the pool and low price. The room was very nice. Beds were so comfy. The pool was cold and fairly scuzzy. My kids loved the slide so it made it worth it but the water level was low and water was murky. The pool floor was slick. Overall it needs an update. Some of the stairs to get into the pool were missing rungs which seems like a safety hazard. Overall if you need a place to land for the night and have young kids, this isn’t a bad spot to rest. The renovations look like they’re coming along nicely.
“Worst hotel experience I’ve had”
The staff was rude, there was a wedding going on on the first floor until 2 AM. I had a room on the fifth floor and could literally hear the entire thing. There’s absolutely nothing stopping any of the sound in any of the rooms so I heard my neighbors screaming and yelling until all hours and then I don’t know if the person above me was practicing their model walk, but their heels were going back-and-forth and back-and-forth for hours. On a hardwood floor it was echoing in our room. The location was not convenient for anything and far over priced for what we got. Parking and trying to maneuver the area was atrocious !Do not recommend this place.
“Don’t stay here if you want to actually sleep.”
Don’t stay on a weekend. The base and music from the weddings will keep you up the entire night. Ridiculous.
