Great location and good breakfast selection.
I have stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions and always left a positive. Unfortunately not this time. I had mistakenly booked an accessible room. Not a problem. I asked if we could change that and was told no the hotel was full. This was at 10am. I later said to another member of staff you must be soo busy, they said yes but not full???. Well what was the problem was the constant buzzing and humming in the room. At around 3-4 early morning the company I was with could put up with it no longer and went down to reception and was at first offered ear plugs then a room change which was taken. I remained simply because I had beers on the night. At checkout I asked for some form of cost reduction and was virtually ignored. Terrible really considering I am a member and have stayed so many times . Even mentioned just taking breakfast off but answer was no. It did spoil the breakaway. This room I have noted is in other negative reviews . Why we could not change rooms is inexcusable and more I felt down to stubborn staff. Was very disappointed and very tired.

Excellent location, within easy walking distance of York’s main attractions. Very convenient for a short stay and exploring the city on foot.
The hotel feels somewhat dated and the room was fairly basic for the Hilton brand. It could benefit from some refurbishment and modernization.
