“Very disappointing experience with the front desk and unclear charges”
We called the hotel the day before and informed reception that we would arrive around 6:00 AM. We understood early check-in was not guaranteed and were willing to pay a reasonable fee. When we arrived, the night-shift employee asked for MYR 161 for early check-in in a different room without clearly explaining the charge. When we questioned it, he told us to leave the hotel and wait somewhere else, despite our reservation being confirmed and fully paid. He later offered an upgraded early check-in for MYR 259, again without explanation. The morning staff took over at 7:45 AM, but did not properly address our concerns or provide the night-shift employee’s name when I said I wanted to make a formal complaint. The room became available at 9:15 AM. I submitted a formal complaint through Booking.com, but the property never responded. The issue was not having to wait for our room or pay for early check-in. The issue was the unexplained charges and the completely unprofessional way the night-shift employee treated us. -> no window so no chance to air the room
