“Mercure Belfortstrasse review”
Eccellent location. The aprtment rooms are very comfortable. The service is excellent
“A prison hotel ? An unacceptable attitude.”
Yesterday, shortly before midnight, due to a medical emergency, we needed to leave the hotel in a hurry to go to the emergency room. As foreigners who do not speak German, our stress levels were at their peak. The night guard (to call him a "cerberus" would be an understatement) refused to open the barrier for us because we had not paid for the parking (something we intended to do at check-out). He stated: "Pay or stay. This is the rule. Turn around, go back to the desk, and pay the 24-hour fee of €24 if you want me to open the barrier." I have written to the hotel director to inform him that if the outcome had not been positive, I would not have hesitated to file a police report. P.S.: I was so disgusted that upon leaving the hospital, I preferred to sleep elsewhere rather than have to face him again. The housekeeper or the breakfast staff can confirm this.

staff at reception was friendly, check in easy and very quick, location versitile (close to where my convention was but also very close to the train station - airport about half an hour...) rooms are average but ok, walls a little thin big flat screen for those who watch tv (didnt have the time) - close to the river...

Hotel was a good 15/30 minute walk from the Old Town. Swimming pool was good, but unheard. There was no housekeeping during our three days there but that was not a problem
