Die Lichtschalter mit kaum lesbaren Beschriftungen, der nicht kühlende Kühlschrank, der Fahrstuhlruf ohne Richtungswahl, der dem Zerkratzen ausgesetzte Spiegel in der Tür, die Schwergängigkeot der Tür und der horrende Preis.

Property location is ideal near the park and city
The place is very dark, there is only one elevator everything was pretty cramped, breakfast seemed unorganized, staff didn’t always answer the reception, seems all together pretty hacked together. Too expensive for the what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. 3 star at best.
“An Offputting Hotel Despite Earnest Staff”
The Hotel is a boutique hotel with a few positives and several significant negatives. First the positives: it is located in short walking distance to many of the attractions of Lucerne, such as the ferry quai and the railway station. Its front desk staff are friendly young people. Our room at least (billed as a suite, but not actually) was spacious by Swiss hotel standards. Now some quite significant negatives. First, the decor is very dark, especially in the rooms, where lighting is most insufficient. The furniture in the room is cheap and does not invite sitting and enjoying the room. The shower was small with only a hand-held shower head. The room was billed as "Garden View" but the small, chest height window actually only looks out over the green roof of the adjacent public library. And perhaps most off-putting, the ceiling is papered with soft porn in the form of a large photographic illustration of a naked and tattooed oriental woman with glowing nipples, a satisfied and lounging man looking on, and a double-entendre caption (complete with grammatical error). If this is a "Jean Nouvel masterpiece" as is claimed, I would avoid the artist; who wants to look at such a picture above his or her bed at the going down of the sun and in the morning -- and every time one wakes at night? The breakfast is, for a hotel of this cost, very sparse. And to get to it, one has to compete for the one tiny elevator with the staff who are using it at all hours to transport their carts and cleaning materials. The Hotel is not one to which I would likely return and I am surprised that it is part of a Marriott collection. Sorry!
