The room was clean. The bathroom was clean. Cleanliness was about the only good thing. Daily cleaning and new towels went well. Day shift staff were helpful, evening shift, not so much.
There was supposed to be a phone in the room and there was not. No wake up call and all questions or room issues had to go downstairs to talk to desk. Desk staff reported that none of the rooms had phones. Lift only went to 3rd floor and our room was on the 4th floor so we had to walk up a flight of stairs with our luggage (I am 70, my wife is 69). There was no assistance to get our luggage to our room. When I asked about another room, I was told nothing was available. Two rooms on 4th floor, felt very isolated and vulnerable. Bed was so big, it blocked access to one of the closets (mattress about 10 inches from closet door). In room safe did not work. Only one small table to use as a nightstand. In room Smart TV would not connect to internet though there was in hotel WiFi. Breakfast buffet was adequate but, like the rest of the hotel, poorly attended; repeatedly run out of cups for juice and water. No shelf in shower, all soap and shampoo had to be on the floor and difficult to reach at our age. Patio outside of room was spartan; cracks in all the plaster, unused floor tiles stacked in the corner, could not "look out over the courtyard" as described because wall was 5 feet tall. Outer patio doors were deteriorating plywood. No hallway lighting outside our room at night (reported, but never addressed) and I had to use my phone flashlight to find the door each evening. No "spy hole" to see in hall if someone knocked on our door. No security bolt on door. Air conditioning worked intermittently. Fall hazard in that there was a step up to get into the room and a step down once inside. Ceiling wallpaper dirty and peeling. A twenty something back packer who needed a one night stay only to sleep, might have found this "adequate", but for an older couple staying for 5 nights, it was miserable. Overpriced for what was provided.

Große Zimmer, freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, ausreichend Handtücher etc,, komfortable Betten, die Lage ist soweit ok, Altstadt ca 20-25 min fussläufig zu erreichen
Frühstück eher mittelmäßig, Kaffeeautomat ständig servicebedürftig, nicht ausreichend genug Geschirr, insbesondere viel zu wenig Kaffeetassen, laute Klimaanlage.
