“The standard rooms are not good value for money.”
The location in Chiado is excellent with numerous restaurants and shops. The reception staff are helpful and provide useful information to ensure an interesting and enjoyable stay in Lisbon.
I stayed in a Superior room for four nights before going to Porto for four days and I enjoyed the room with the French doors and balcony very much. However, when I returned to the hotel for another four night stay, I was told that the only available room was a standard which was darker due to two very small windows which barely opened. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the room, I was told that they were completely booked and there was nothing they could do. I think they should have showed me in advance what a standard room looked like so I could have cancelled the reservation in advance. I decided to shorten my trip by two days mainly because of the room and I had to incur the cost of the room as well as changing my flight. I believe this hotel should be more forthcoming about the discrepancy between the different rooms in order to give guests a fair idea of what they should expect given the fact that these are not inexpensive rooms.

The rooftop restaurant/lounge was amazing, the staff was personable, and the location was fantastic. There were several special gifts throughout our stay. Thanks for a wonderful time!
