“Not Worth the Price for Club Executive Ocean Suite”
We paid almost 15,000 THB per night for the Club Executive Ocean Suite, expecting to stay in what we believed was the best room category of the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing and did not justify the price. We arrived at 3:00 PM, which is the official check-in time. However, we were told that the room was not ready and had to wait another 45 minutes. This was already frustrating because when you pay this level of price, you expect the room to be ready at check-in time so you can actually use it. Even after we finally received the room, we were informed that our luggage would arrive another 30 minutes later. Honestly, what kind of service is this? The hotel did not seem prepared at all. Guests staying in the top room category would normally expect some form of priority, but that was clearly not the case here. When we finally entered the room, the disappointment grew more. We expected the “ocean view” in line with our room type but on reality, the room was a pool view and city view, with a glimpse of the beach. The Club Lounge afternoon tea was served as a set with very limited variety, and the quality was just ok. Nothing special. The evening offerings were similar. Compared with other club lounges of Amari, especially Amari Hua Hin, Amari Pattaya is weaker. The only highlight was that the cocktails were well made and good. Other facilities were also somewhat inconvenient. The pool closes early at 7:00 PM, and the kids club opens quite late in the morning. Breakfast is à la carte ordering style. The Thai dishes tasted good, but overall the selection was quite limited. To be fair, the staff service was generally good, and the team was polite. However, at the end of the day, this stay simply did not feel worth the price for a Club Executive Ocean Suite. If you are planning to spend around 15,000 THB per night, there are definitely better options. For example, we recently stayed at Andaz Pattaya, which was far more impressive and provided a much better overall experience.
