The view was amazing!!! And reasonably accessible to train station and buses.
Our room, while we’d booked a room with a view and it was fabulous, was very tired, I believe they are upgrading floor by floor, but on booking it, going by the pictures, we certainly did not get a modern room. Money wise that is a bit sad, especially when I’d booked it as the “superior” hotel to end our 4 weeks of UK travel!!! There was no power outlets or USB ports at all by the bed. Only over at the desk. The bathroom is the old bath with shower curtain , luckily there was grab rails to help get in and out. The breakfast room was chaotic, we did 2 mornings really early which wasn’t too bad, the cereal area didn’t have a great selection of cereal compared to all the other hotels we’ve been in the last 4 weeks and the food is a good… But too salty tasting.
