“Historical hidden gem”
It's a great old place, literally in the old city center, 5 to 10 minutes walk to St Peter's cathedral, train to Salzburg castle, and Nonneberg monastery. And the place itself if the attraction ;) check the history of it once inside, you might get surprised! Nice places to dine and drink are also few minutes by foot away. I got really clear parking instructions before check in, but decided to come by train - it is so much more convenient. Hotel can issue you free public transport tickets for the days of your stay, and transportation is convenient - which was perfect!
I am a spoiled hotel guest, used to 4* service of Mövenpick and alike. This hotel will be different to that level of overall comfort, and breakfast variety - however, it is lovely and comfy and has the most wonderful staff ever. This place gives history vibe, which would be completely lost in the classic hotel setting. And next time here I will also check out breakfast options offered in the city, as there seems to be quite a few!
