The location is excellent, the pool area is good for families, and the slides are a real attraction for children. The animation team were enthusiastic and worked hard to keep guests entertained.
For over £2,000 for a week, we expected considerably better. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Poor organisation, clearly insufficient staffing and painfully slow replenishment of food were recurring problems. On one evening, we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a food tray to be replenished, and it never was. Running out of food is understandable; failing to replace it is not. The bar was also understaffed, sunbeds were routinely reserved with towels but left unoccupied, and the poolside surfaces were dangerously slippery. Evening entertainment was repetitive, largely consisting of singing and dancing. The rooms were average at best. The slides also had strictly enforced height restrictions, which was disappointing for our daughter, although we appreciate these are safety requirements. We raised concerns during our stay but ultimately decided against pursuing a formal complaint on our final day. Even the late checkout cost an additional €70. The hotel seems to receive glowing reviews, but our experience was nowhere near the standard those reviews suggest.
