Location is fantastic - right on the beachfront with its own beach club. Hotel decor is really good
I know a lot of people say that the breakfast is good, but compared to the last 4 hotels I've stayed at in, they all did a much better job. Scrambled eggs were always cold, they put English sausages out, but they were grey as in looking uncooked. I always try to take the stairs rather than the lifts. There are stairs here but it's more of a fire escape. Otherwise you have to use the 3 lifts shared by the hotel residents over 11 floors, so you can wait a while. Reception staff were always Luke warm. Get rid of them and promote the guy who brought up the suitcases.... He was far more personable and friendly. This is the first hotel I've stayed at in a long time where there isn't a courtesy room for late leavers. You have to use the showers down by the gym. As soon as I had handed in the room key card, WiFi was immediately deactivated even though I was there for the rest of the day which I thought was petty, especially for a hotel charging nearly £500 per night. In short, it made me realise that the hotels in El Duque, Tenerife offer a hell of a lot more bang for your buck.
