Great location, lovely room and very comfortable bed. Very helpful reception staff and a lovely breakfast.
Restaurant was not very welcoming ( by staff), although it looked lovely. Our food was disappointing too.

The hotel is very charming & well located to the center of Lucca. The staff are so friendly & welcoming. The room was very comfortable & had great air conditioning since it was so hot outside! Breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great assortment of choices. The outside terrace offered such a peaceful place to eat.

If you are looking for a superb location within the walls of Lucca, then this hits the spot. It is close to everything. Even the furthest points of the old town are only a short walk away, maybe 10 minutes maximum at a leisurely stroll, but the center of town is, maybe, 4 to 5 minutes away. The hotel does a small, but well stocked breakfast, both English and Continental. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is where breakfast is served. this is accessible via the hotel itself, and is not open for the public during breakfast, only for the residents staying there. The staff, whether front desk, bar and restaurant, or simply the room service, are all charming and greet you with a smile. The rooms have a safe and a chargeable minibar. Bed was comfortable (although that's a matter of personal taste). There's no real "view" from the rooms, but, let's face it, it is a medieval town with narrow streets and a lot of buildings in a small area.
Would have liked a little milk in the minibar for use on the first morning to make a coffee, so we went out instead for our cappuccino. That's probably the only tiny criticism, but wouldn't stop us staying there again.
