Overall this property is excellent. About a 20 min walk from the center of Puerto Rico with the older shopping center (Commercial center) and the new Mogan Mall beside it which is beautiful. Lovely location and the suites are fabulous, very spacious and have everything you need. It is also 5 mins walk from the Olas center which has a fab Hyperdino, good few restaurants and an Irish pub which serves great food.
A few things we didn't like, which I think could be improved: 1. There are 2 SMART TV's in the suites, neither of which have streaming services like Netflix that you could log into. There are only 4 english channels on the TV's. 2. The pool is quite cramped with beds (which we knew before going) but there is nowhere for vapers/smokers if you want to lie on your bed, have a drink or read a book. You have to go to an outside area. I have already communicated this to the hotel that there should be a dedicated area for vapers/smokers at the pool or in the adult only area. 3. The aspect of the suite faced the sun in the evening and it was 30+ degrees so the bathroom and bedroom were roasting, blinds would be welcomed, or at least a hairdryer you could move into the living area where there is air con. 4. The wifi/internet is not good. 5. There is not much around the hotel itself. It's on the marina yes but it's more of an marina that boats go in and out of. There are some restaurants but we did not try them. We tried Wigwam and it was ok, we were not allowed to sit outside later at night because of the apts near, and inside was too warm.

Staying at Marina Suites Gran Canaria was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The hotel combines beautiful surroundings with thoughtful touches that genuinely make you feel looked after. Every morning began with a huge range of breakfast options, all fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. What made it even more special was the staff — they remembered us from day one and made sure we had the same table each morning, which added such a warm, personal touch. The infinity pool was a standout highlight. Sitting by the water, watching the boats drift past the marina, and soaking up the calm atmosphere was honestly unforgettable. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and feel miles away from everything. Marina Suites offers a beautiful setting, fantastic food, and staff who genuinely care. It’s a place where you can relax completely, enjoy great meals, and feel truly welcomed. I’d return in a heartbeat.
A lot of guests were putting towels out on sunbeds at 7am, then disappearing for hours, some even going on boat trips. Unfortunately, staff didn’t move these towels, which meant beds were unavailable even though no one was using them.
