“Convenient”
Great location and spacious room, with a few things that could be improved We really enjoyed our stay overall. The hotel was in a fantastic location and incredibly easy to get to via public transport. Being directly across the road from a major shopping centre was a huge bonus, as there was absolutely everything we could have needed within easy walking distance. Our room was a great size, with a lovely ensuite and a great view. The air conditioning worked really well, although it was quite loud at times. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, and the concierge service was great, particularly as we were attending a conference at the hotel. Having the conference facilities downstairs made everything extremely convenient.
There were, however, a few things that could be improved. The TV wasn't functioning properly, so we weren't able to stream or play movies from our phones. The room phone also didn't work when we tried to contact reception. We also found the key cards could be quite fussy and sometimes took several attempts to work when accessing our room. Housekeeping was another minor issue. We found that they sometimes came quite late in the afternoon, which was inconvenient as we would often just be returning to the room after being out for most of the day. The biggest disappointment was the bedding. Rather than having a proper sheet over the doona, there appeared to be a top sheet simply folded over the doona, leaving the rest of the doona exposed. We also noticed a questionable stain on my friend's doona, which was not particularly reassuring. Having clean, proper sheets and ensuring the bedding is fresh and stain-free would make a big difference to the overall experience. Despite these issues, we had a good stay and would consider staying again because of the location, spacious rooms and convenience, but there are definitely a few areas where the hotel could improve the guest experience.
