The hotel is beautiful and the staff are lovely. I was worried as my room was at the front of the building, that the train would keep me up but I'm a light sleeper and I slept through it all which was fantastic.

Breakfast was lovely but we felt sorry for the poor waiter - he was amazing but run off his feet. Very apologetic but we could tell he was too busy

“Art-filled, cool and comfy oasis in a perfect location!”
The hotel was really a lovely aesthetic experience, rather than just a place to sleep. We really enjoyed being there! The abundant art is very cool and the design of the room is great. (The bed was incredibly comfortable, too.) The location is wonderful—we walked just about everywhere. We also appreciated the billiard table on our floor, as well as the balcony one flight down.
I liked it all! One thing I'll mention for other travelers: there is a beautiful vintage elevator that requires an elevator operator, which is usually one of the people at the front desk. This was kind of part of the whole experience, and usually just takes a moment, or you can walk up the stairs. But if you just want to press a button and not talk to anyone when you come in, you should probably be aware.
