“It was good overall with great location and harbour view. However, the hygiene needs to be improved.”
The location and the view are actually really good. It’s only 5 mins walk to the train station and bus station. There are also heaps of restaurants nearby. So it’s a very good location. I’ve booked the deluxe room, and the view was amazing.
Im not a fan of the cleanness. There was a big stain on the mattress, which was so disgusting that I don’t even want to know what it was. I’ve taken a photo of it. They also charge money for the little basic things that you normally get for free at other hotels, e.g. tooth paste, tooth brush, bath hat, etc.
The location was great.
The interior of the room was extremely old and it was weird that without putting the shutters down you can see inside the entire bathroom.

I injured my back and could walk only on cane. Getting breakfast from buffet setting was difficult for me with one arm already occupied by cane. Your staff at 188 restaurant, I believed her name was Carmen, helped me get all the items I needed and brought to my table. She was very thoughtful and friendly. Similar courtesy and thoughtfulness was evident among other restaurant staff and reception as well. Well done!
Perhaps allowing charging restaurant expense to room bill to save us reaching for payment each visit while we stay.
