“Valeu a pena ficar no hotel pela vista”
O hotel fica próximo à zona costeira próximo do funicular para a zona turística da cidade. Pela manhã é perfeito para ir à praia e à noite basta pegar ônibus ou funicular para ir à cidade. Tem uma piscina agradável e vista maravilhosa para o mar.
O hotel necessita de uma renovação urgente. A ida para o funicular deve ser feira por uma estrada sem acostamento é um pouco perigosa andando cerca de 800 m, mas em Taormina tudo é muito apertado pois são ruas muito estreitas. O estacionamento do hotel é péssimo, numa ladeira com grande dificuldade para manobrar e muito caro 25 euros por dia, mas é essencial reservar pois não existe alternativas próximas.
“Beautiful views and good location, but with some drawbacks”
The room had a sea view, exactly as booked, and was clean and spacious. Some of the facilities could use a little maintenance, but everything was exactly as shown in the photos, so there were no unpleasant surprises. There was also plenty of hot water with no issues at all. The hotel is close to the railway line, as are most hotels in this area, so it is normal to hear trains passing by. However, this did not interfere with my rest or sleep. The hotel also has a lovely swimming pool with a beautiful view over Taormina, which was a great feature. The location is very convenient, around a 10-minute walk from the funicular, with Spisone Beach also within walking distance.
Parking at the hotel is very limited and costs €25 per night. We ended up parking our rental car on the road, and on the third day, the outer plastic cover of one of the side mirrors was stolen. This meant we lost most of our morning reporting the theft and damage to the police. Another downside is pedestrian access to the hotel. You have to walk along a winding main road with no pavement, while cars and motorbikes pass very close by, which felt extremely unsafe. Guests are also not allowed to bring outside food into the hotel. Finally, breakfast costs €12 per person and, in my opinion, it was nothing special and not really worth the price.

The hotel was tired and old, although we did have newly renovated rooms which were nice. The pool area and pool bar/restaurant had tired and weathered furniture making it rather unappealing. This is not a 4-star hotel. The road immediately outside the hotel that you needed to walk along to get to the centre was very dangerous with no dedicated footpath.
