“Great location, decent rooms, variable service.”
The hotel is on the Cotsworld Way and so is an excellent stopping point. The views are exceptional.
After the first day we had to change rooms because of a water leak. In the evening the meals were good but one beer had run out and the only alternative was undrinkable. The second breakfast was below standard, the bacon was tough, and the only member of staff on duty surly. My biggest complaint is that although Green King advertise free wi-fi, it is not. You have to give personal details, including your date of birth, in order to set up an account. There is no alternative. This is unreasonable, and potentially damaging if this data is misused or stolen. I will avoid Green King Hotels in the future.
