“Clean, spacious and comfy”
Convenient, spacious and comfy beds. Very clean and staff were helpful. Restaurant had lovely food. Our ‘go to’ when staying in Nelson

The beds were comfy and the kitchen had a large fridge/freezer and a cook top
Staff were disinterested in welcoming us at check in, no smiles, no welcoming words. Didn't ask after our stay when we checked out. We booked the room because it had a cook top as we were there for 3 nights. There was a sign saying if you set the fire alarm off there would be a $300 reset fee. There was no rangehood or ventilator over the oven if we wanted to cook. There was a smoke detector right above the cooktop so any heat or steam would have set it off. There was however a window we could open, but we could only open about 5cm as it hit a pole outside. So we didn't cook. Very disappointing as it was the reason we paid extra for the larger room so we could have the separate kitchen and cook. We could hear the person in the room next door, through the wall snoring very loudly all night. The shower was a complicated set up that required the hotel to blu-tac instructions on how to use it. The shower was over a bath. The shower curtain came just to the top of the bath so the bathroom floor was flooded each time a shower was had. The third day there the water in the shower was either freezing or boiling so we didn't shower.
