“An absolute gem in Bruges, we can’t wait to come back!”
Maison de la Rose was honestly one of our favourite stays of the entire trip. From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly well organized, clean and thoughtfully maintained. Our room was beautiful,spacious, fresh, full of character and even nicer than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, and having a fridge, microwave and coffee station right inside the room was such a great little extra. Everything was spotless and you can really tell how much care goes into maintaining the property. The building itself is gorgeous. The beautiful staircase, stained glass, library, antique furniture and all the little details give it so much personality and charm. It feels like you are staying somewhere truly special rather than in a generic hotel room. We actually didn’t need to meet Hans during our stay, which says a lot about how efficiently he has everything running. The check-in instructions were incredibly clear, everything was organized perfectly, and the whole process was simple and completely stress free. You can tell there is a lot of thought behind how the B&B operates. We felt comfortable and at home from the beginning, and after a long day exploring Bruges it was such a lovely place to come back to. We would stay here again without hesitation and are already hoping to return to Bruges and stay at Maison de la Rose again. Absolutely wonderful. 10/10.
Die Unterkunft ist in der Altstadt und sehr nah an den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Vom Verkehr her sehr ruhig, wird hatten ein Zimmer zum Hof hin gelegen. Wir haben vorab einen Code bekommen, um in das Haus zu kommen, falls Hans, der Vermieter nicht da sein sollte. Das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Im Zimmer lag ein Reiseführer in unserer Sprache bereit. Das Zimmer war schön groß, Kaffeekocher und Geschirr waren auch vor Ort, ebenso ein Kühlschrank. Am Abreisetag konnten wir nach dem Auschecken noch unsere Koffer im Flur stehen lassen, was super für uns war, da wir den Nachmittag noch in Brügge verbringen wollten. Sehr gut und damit erwähnenswert fanden wir auch, dass es im Flur eine Toilette gab.
Da es sich um ein sehr altes - aber super schön renoviertes - Haus handelt, ist die Treppe zum 1. Stock sehr steil. Das weiß man aber eigentlich, wenn man die Bewertungen gelesen hat und daher ist das für uns kein Kritikpunkt.

L'emplacement était accessible à pied de la gare de Bruges( environ 30 min. avec nos valises à roulettes) Très grande chambre avec un frigo et un micro-ondes et un peu de vaisselles et tasses, café, cafetière et coupes à vin. Le ventilateur portatif fort apprécié pour la nuit. Nous avons vraiment apprécié! Arrivée facile. On y retournerait certainement!

“Beautiful location in a lovely heritage home, great for a family of four or five.”
We absolutely loved the location of this beautiful top-floor apartment in a heritage building. It was a five-minute walk from the central square, with an excellent deli next door and a great cafe with excellent beer and coffee. Hans was available and kind and also respected our privacy. The space itself was beautiful, with old timber framing in the ceiling and lots of space for a family of five (one queen in the bedroom, one in the living room area (partitioned off a bit), one single in the hallway which actually worked okay for one of our little guys, and plenty of deep, comfortable couch space! The kitchen was well-stocked, clean, and functional. There were so many thoughtful touches for anyone with little kids: high chair, crib, changing table, baby bath, etc. Thank you, Hans!
