This is an iconic building and a great place to start your trip in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Yes, the rooms are tired, but itβs a great location and just admire the Brutalist masterpiece!
The rooms were tired but what do you expect for the price in an iconic architecture masterpiece and right in the centre of the city? I would recommend here for just a night or two and then stay somewhere different in this fascinating city.

the location was great! very central. it was nice to stay in this architectural beast.
It's very old and you can tell. Carpets are as thin as they can get. Air con was fitted in the cupboard and you couldn't turn it off in one room + you couldn't turn it on in the other. So my parents room was hot af, and our room was loud af - i had a feeling i was sleeping at the airport, it was horrible. We had windows from the east side and even though we had curtains, the sun shined right through them on my face and I couldn't sleep. Also why all the sockets are UK standard? How we are supposed to be using our devices? No information beforehand+ no adaptors in the room. Kettle had EU plug but there was NO socket to plug it in. Literally a mad house. My parents got their toothbrushes with toothpaste and we didn't. Breakfast was acceptable, but it's supposed to be until 10 - once the bread ran out at 9:40 and they didn't give it anymore. One barely working coffee machine with a constant queue to it. No ingredients information. For that money is UNACCEPTABLE.
