“A home away from home with care and attention!”
As a solo female traveler, I felt completely at ease and secure throughout my stay at this wonderful property. It was a place where comfort and warmth truly made a difference. While there, I had to work and appreciated being able to connect my laptop to the sizable TV, which made work sessions more accessible. The shower was great!—powerful water 🚿pressure and perfect temperature made every shower refreshing and enjoyable. The bed was incredibly cozy, offering restful sleep despite a few creaks. It might not have been as ideal if I’d traveled with my husband, 🥴but for me, it was perfect. I opted out of the breakfast service since the options weren’t quite suitable. Instead, I brought my own food, storing it in the fridge and using the available microwave. There was also a toaster, kettle, hairdryer, and personal toiletries at my disposal. When the host noticed I wasn’t attending breakfast, he kindly filled the water jug for me and even brought two bottles of fresh juice, filling them from the empty bottles I was using. That thoughtful gesture truly made my day. Most importantly, the hosts were exceptionally kind and attentive, welcoming me as if I were family. Their warmth and genuine care created a cozy, inviting atmosphere that made my stay genuinely memorable, with safe travel wishes and a hug on leaving🫶🏽
I would have really appreciated a lock on the inside of the door to help me feel more secure and at ease. While this B&B is marketed as a charming place to stay, I must admit that the breakfast options left a bit to be desired. For someone like me, who doesn't eat cereal, just a couple of slices of toast aren't quite enough to keep me energizede throughout the day. When you think of a typical B&B breakfast, it’s often a continental spread with cured meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, or sometimes a hot meal. I understand that wasting food isn't ideal, which makes me think it might be helpful to have a menu or a list of breakfast options placed in the room. This way, guests can choose what they’d like in the morning, allowing the host to prepare it in advance. If a guest opts not to join for breakfast, they might miss out, but at least the process is smoother and more personalised.
