Direkter Meerblick, Affen rundherum, aber auch hörbares Meer nachts, was Schlafprobleme machen kann. Ansonsten eine wunderschöne Unterkunft für ein paar Tage!
“great view .going down the stairs and you are in the beach but difficult to swim. very basic rooms”
we stayed in two different rooms. first night a room 2meters from the reception. we had leakage from the AC unit. so water dropping in the floor all night. difficult to sleep. the second night we had the family room that have much more space and its up to the good standards. the view of both rooms were amazing.
the access to the hotel is a night mare specially if you have luggage.or heavy bags...and eveytime you want to go to the hotel you need to walk up and dow stairs...not convenient not practical
The Korowai is one of those places that makes it very difficult to leave the hotel and actually explore Uluwatu. The setting is absolutely stunning, built into the cliff and overlooking the ocean, with the sound of the waves constantly in the background. Waking up and falling asleep listening to the ocean from my room was probably one of my favourite things about staying here. The whole place feels intimate, secluded and incredibly peaceful. The beach below was particularly special - at a time when so many of Uluwatu’s beaches can feel overcrowded, I was literally alone there. It felt like having my own hidden little beach, and you can also surf right in front of the hotel if that’s your thing. What makes the location even better is that, despite feeling so secluded, you’re very close to one of Uluwatu’s main streets, full of great cafés, restaurants and little shops, while also being perfectly located between two of the area’s main beaches. So you get the feeling of being completely tucked away without actually being far from everything.
Access isn’t the easiest and there are quite a few stairs, but the staff were incredibly helpful and happily took care of carrying my luggage, which was particularly heavy. They made the whole experience much easier and were lovely throughout my stay.
