“Golden Gate girls weekend”
Loved that the hotel was local to everything...Great location clean room...and Skittles the house cat was so sweet...
We asked the Hotel for a discount because not 1 of the 3 rooms I booked had TV's that worked....we were there 4 days so it would of been nice to have that...I asked for a discount but they never got back to me...Noone was available when we checked out unfortunately...
“Charming”
Cute, classic. The vintage elevator is fun, the cat is charming, the parlor is a nice place to relax. Generally fun lodging that carries timeless charm and is conveniently located. The included breakfast at the sister hotel down the street had a medieval theme that was fun for our family. The bag storage is a really nice feature - we arrived before check-in to drop off our luggage and it was ready for us in our room when we got back. That saved us hours of hauling luggage around town while we grabbed some food. Overall a fine place to stay.
While the shared bathroom was noted on the listing, it was definitely more inconvenient and uncomfortable than I was expecting for a whole family. It would be fine for fewer guests. The beds were also quite small, which was cozy, but definitely left us wishing for more space. The room was also in the basement. This is a fun experience for 1-2 people, but not the best for a family. Booking listed these shared bathroom rooms as the only ones available for two adults and a toddler, but I think we could have comfortably fit in one of the upstairs rooms with its own bathroom and one large bed, or another accommodation for a toddler, and that would have made it a way better stay. If the manager could update the capacity data for Booking, it would be easier to get a more comfortable room for a family, and also enjoy a room with windows instead of in the basement. Also, when we arrived, most of the lights were unplugged, so we had to plug them back in to use them.

Great location and value for my money. It's also convenient to have to little breakfast to get my day started.
There was not always staff at the front desk, and several times other guests were waiting, wondering where staff was.
