“Be warned.”
Here's the thing: This place has all kinds of potential, could be and maybe once was a gorgeous five star hotel resort, but apparently legal issues with the govt has severely impacted their operation. Although they charged us full price in advance, when we got there we found none of the outdoor gardens, waterpark, or other facilities and features were operating. The pool water is green. Only one restaurant is open and it is severely understaffed. The employees are truly trying to do it right, but it seems like they are swimming upstream. I'll go back when they are fully open, but not until then.
“RAT in room, horrible management, broken promises and avoidance”
Beautiful resort with some nice staff. But horribly managed and infested with rats. If you’re reading this you might question its trustworthiness but I assure you, we have videos, pictures and correspondence up everything. We had a RAT in 2219 and when we reported it they moved us to another room with a big hole in the ceiling also. We were told there was NO manager on-site all afternoon or evening to discuss our horrible experience. All of this is outrageous for a supposed ‘premier luxury’ resort. We told them how upset and distressed we were and they promised a manager would speak to us first thing in the morning before we checked out. They offered nothing else. In the morning there was no manager, just the executive housekeeper who apologized and promised things would be made right and someone would contact us afterwards. Nobody did and nobody responded to my email. I then contacted them via FB messenger and they acknowledged the rat problem and assured me senior management were taking it seriously and would take appropriate action. Nobody contact me. Another week passed and I messaged again. They responded saying the GM felt bad and was offering to give all our money back. To date, NO money has been returned and NO manager has contacted us. We were promised the GM would at least email us if not call us. Neither he or anyone on his team has done so. We tried to deal directly in hopes they would make things right. To date they haven’t done anything but lied and avoided us for 5 weeks. We have videos, pictures, and records of all the correspondence where promises were made and then not kept. As a former Assistant General manager at a small hotel in Bermuda I’m shocked and outraged at how they’ve treated us. The rat infestation was bad enough but the complete failure of management to respond to us defies all common sense not to mention basic decency and professionalism. Do NOT stay here or you may have a rodent joining you in your room. Beautiful looking resort but HORRIBLE and absent management.
“Family Relaxed Quite Stay”
A beautiful relaxed quiet resort with lovely staff. As I have seen in all my Philippines hotels and resorts, it’s the Filipino staff that make the stay so special. The staff in the Nouveau Resort Camiguin are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. A big shout out to LoyJack, the pool bartender who makes great cocktails, banana and mango shakes and is very nice and friendly. The breakfast staff are so helpful, friendly and always have a big smile. The food is good and the room is clean, quiet and comfortable. The swimming pool is beautiful and comfortable for all age groups. The hotel is in a good location on the island, not too far from the main attractions and the local port. Overall a lovely stay on beautiful Camiguin thanks to the Nouveau Resort and its wonderful staff 🫶🙏❤️
Staffs ready to assist. The open space concept in the lobby was good. Food great. One negative comment: the bath soap so thin and tiny that a 2 person occupancy will need 4 a day.
Gran desayuno. El hotel esta precioso, muy bien decorado y muy grande. De hecho pareciamos ser de los poquitos que estabamos alojados. La piscina es exagarademente inmensa.. Todo rodeado de jardines muy bien cuidados frente al mar. La playa no existe pero tienen un muelle desde el cual puedes bañarte y esta muy bien. Si tienes coche te puedes desplazar sin problema para ir a cualquier lado.
Esta aislado de los nucleos urbanos con lo cual necesitas desplazarte en coche o taxi. Estamos hablando de 7 o 10 minutos hasta la ciudad, que tampoco es tanto pero no puedes caminarlo por la carretera.. El precio es exagerado para este lugar. El hotel es de mucha calidad, sin duda, y si quieres descansar y no moverte mucho , y tienes pasta perfecto,.., pero si solo vas a ir a dormir, quizás hay que pensarselo.
