Location
Everything else beside the location. By far the worst hotel experience in the entire Uzbekistan for me. That comes from the staff. There are 2 boys working at reception. One is decent and the other is a total nightmare. They partied until midnight and to 1AM in the lobby, did not care my room is right at ground floor (room 1) at the lobby. They made noise like a battlefield, I could not sleep well for 2 nights straight. They did not care about guest. They use the hotel as their own house, invite other boys for party and do whatever they like, unprofessional and disrespectful. Then one day before check-out I informed the reception. That night thay partied again until 1AM. In the morning I asked for my registration card. The boy (Asadbek) tried his best to not provide it (I stayed 4 nights in total, 2 booked via booking and 2 I paid directly to extend my stay in Khiva). He wasted me more than 1 hour waiting with his unprofessionalism and excuses, while I had to go to the border to leave Uzb for Turkmenistan, which means I need the registration card to show at Uzb border. This is beyond imagination for a hotel. They do not respect guests at all. The maid lady even snapped photo of me confronting the reception boy and sent to her friends through chat for fun. Absolutely the worst experience. Will stay away at all cost the next time I return to Khiva.
