Honestly, so disappointed at the service at this hotel. We paid for the entire.It took over 3 hours to check into our room and we ended up not even being in the correct room despite paying for a beach front villa and getting a sea front. The managers argued with us and we were also overcharged at the end. There was no communication, lack of accountability and to top it off, the quality of service is one that I have never experienced before. They were quick to take our money but unable to provide quality of service that was promised. I would stay clear of here.

Hello, I am requesting a refund for my reservation at Aya Sophia Villa Garden Hotel in Kigamboni. I would like to emphasize that this is not a complaint about the hotel staff or the property itself. The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and genuinely tried their best to convince us to stay. However, after arriving and checking in, we discovered that the access road to the hotel was far rougher and more difficult than we reasonably expected. We were traveling in a small passenger vehicle, not a 4x4, and became concerned about the risk of vehicle damage and the possibility of being unable to safely leave the property if weather conditions worsened. As a result, we decided to leave approximately 40 minutes after checking in. We did not spend the night, did not sleep in the room, and did not meaningfully use the accommodation. Our concern was not with the hotel itself, but with the lack of prior disclosure regarding the challenging access road and the practical need for a more suitable vehicle under such conditions. Had we known this information before booking, we would have selected a different property. Given that we departed shortly after arrival and did not stay overnight, I respectfully request a full refund as a goodwill gesture. Thank you for your time and consideration.
