Pros - Spacious apartment with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a large living room. It was perfect for our family of four. - Located about 200 meters from a supermarket where prices are fixed, so there is no need to negotiate or worry about being overcharged. - Very fair price considering the size and facilities. - Air conditioning in both bedrooms and free Wi-Fi. - The host is exceptional. He arranged our airport pickup at 2:00 a.m. from Luxor Airport. Our flight was delayed, and despite arriving around 3:00 a.m., he was there waiting for us. Throughout our stay, he was reliable, responsive, and always kept his word. - The host also arranged several of our tours at very reasonable prices. He connected us with an excellent Egyptologist guide, Ahmed, as well as professional and reliable drivers. Everything was well organized, punctual, and hassle-free, which made our stay in Luxor even more enjoyable. Conclusion Kemet Apartments offers excellent value for money. The host is reliable, friendly, genuinely helpful, and goes well beyond simply handing over the keys. From arranging airport transfers to organizing excellent tours with a knowledgeable guide and dependable drivers, he made our trip much easier and more enjoyable. While the building's exterior and common areas could certainly be better maintained, the apartment itself offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. Since you'll probably spend most of your time exploring Luxor and only be there for breakfast, dinner, and a good night's sleep, the money you save by choosing this apartment instead of a resort can be put to much better use, for example: - Enjoying one or two "day-use" visits at a luxury resort such as Jolie Ville (which we did) - Visiting more of Luxor's incredible archaeological sites (which we did). - Taking day trips to places outside Luxor, such as Abydos, Edfu, and other remarkable destinations (which we did).
Cons - Since this is an apartment rather than a hotel, you are responsible for looking after yourself and the property during your stay. Not a "Cons" per se, but I thought I should mention. - The swimming pool has definitely seen better days. This is not the apartment owner's fault but rather the responsibility of the condominium management, which could do a much better job maintaining the common areas. The same applies to the exterior of the building. That said, we only used the pool once because we spent most of our time sightseeing, so it wasn't an issue for us.
