“A Challenging Runaway Lost in Zermatt Night”
The rooms are well arranged and decorated with taste.
The communication with the host is slow and not efficient, as when I called for clarifications before reaching the property, no answer is possible. Without the name of the apartment, it is hard to find the location, and the instruction to access the keys is lack of final tip, leaving us panic so much when the box couldn't be easily open. Our room is marked as Room 2 at 2nd floor, but on the key box is written as Room 2, 1st floor. Very confusing indeed.

We loved the location away from the noisy center. The appointment was very comfortable and the view spectacular. Getting a small toblerone chocolate was a cute gesture too 😊
We experienced difficulties connecting to the wifi, but it was not a big issue since we had mobile data.

Zermatt is an amazing place. The apartment in theory had great views. It was comfortable enough.
Whilst not the property owner's fault, the view of the Matterhorn was blocked by a giant construction crane and there was loud construction noise throughout the day. We feel that we should have been informed of this beforehand, especially as the view was one of the major selling points of this property. The property is quite a distance from Zermatt train station and required a taxi ride AND a lengthy up-hill walk to get to, plus several flights of stairs (no elevator). One of my group was pregnant so this was challenging. Again, it would have been nice to know this in advance! This may have been an issue with booking.com, but we did not received the check-in details for this property until several days after the stay ended. We received an initial message promising the details from the owner (so not an email address issue), but nothing from them until after the stay was over. We messaged the property multiple times as the stay approached to request them, but received no response. We ended up having to call the property manager, suffering international calling rates.

Construction site in front of the balcony and lots of cranes in the town. A beautiful place trying to accommodate lots of tourists, but that is another problem
