“Very scary and uncomfortable stay — we felt that someone could enter the apartment at any moment”
****Update regarding the owner's response**** ****I would like to clarify the owner's response because several statements are incorrect. We stayed in the apartment with only two adults and our daughter. There was no third person, and we did not smoke shisha in the apartment. In fact, I am personally against smoking, and Booking.com can verify this from my previous booking history and reviews if necessary. We are simply sharing our experience so future guests can make an informed**** Unfortunately, our two-night stay was very uncomfortable and frightening, mainly because of a serious privacy concern. On the first day, we left the apartment with a light switched on. When we came back, we found that the light had been turned off. The owner lives in the same building, but we had not been informed that anyone would enter the apartment while we were away. On the second day, we became concerned about the possibility of someone entering, so we placed a small piece of paper in the door as an indicator. When we returned, we found that the door had been opened again. There was no cleaning taking place and we had not requested anyone to enter. When we returned the keys, we raised this issue with the owner. He explained that entering was normal for cleaning and said that nothing had been touched from our bags. However, this does not make us feel comfortable. Whether or not anything was taken, entering a guest's apartment without informing them beforehand is a serious privacy concern. Guests should be made aware of this policy before booking. There were also other issues with the apartment,We noticed small cockroaches.The apartment did not feel well ventilated and had only two windows.There was no washing machine, despite it being mentioned in the Booking.com description. Overall, we did not feel comfortable or secure during our stay.
