The balcony has breathtaking views over the lake and city. The building has a few parking spaces that can be booked ahead for a daily cost. There is also a bus station at the end of the street to reach the city centre. The lady who greeted us was very pleasant and gave us useful info.
The kitchen and bathroom are very outdated and due to this the entire room had a particular smell. We found ourselves in Lugano during a heatwave, so the lack of AC made our stay less comfortable.

L’appartement est assez grand et il contient tout ce dont on a besoin. On a aimé le calme qui régnait.
La cuisine est un peu vétuste mais on nous a dit que l’appartement allait être rénové très bientôt.
The property was perfect for a weekend getaway for two. The pictures exactly show what to expect and the view is every bit as amazing as the photos show. Even though we weren’t exactly in Lugano’s center, Castagnola is well connected with a bus and it has its own flare and things to see. It’s close to Mount Bre and the lake, and about 45 minutes from Gandria on foot. We love walking and also enjoyed going downhill to the city on foot since there’s a small and scenic walkway close to the apartment. Parco San Michele is also 10 mins away and the view from there is even more amazing. Monique was also lovely. She recommended restaurants to us and they were amazing. She was also friendly and answered all of our questions very promptly. We legitimately spent a great time here and would wholeheartedly recommend it
If one must say something we didn’t like, it was the bed. We found it a bit too hard, but all in all, a great place to stay.
