“Old and outdated place”
The only thing that we liked about this property was location.
This accommodation is very old. Amenities and furnishings are completely outdated and of cheapest quality. The kitchen is ancient, probably from the 70s. It wasn’t properly clean. The cupboard doors were covered in sticky old grease. The design is very uncomfortable because all the dishes and cutlery is located in the living room, so every time you need something you have to walk a round. There’s only one bathroom with a very uncomfortable, moldy shower. The design looks like a hospital facility from the Soviet era. No charm, no comfort, just absolute basic. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The matrices are very old and of cheapest quality. The property is managed by an agency. The communication of the agent was very transactional. She didn’t make us feel like welcomed guests, but rather as just a paying party. She never bothered to check on our comfort and if we needed anything. Everything was only about the payments- if you don’t pay the deposit and the city taxes before arrival, you won’t be able to check in, if you don’t follow checkout instructions you’ll be charged from the deposit. Very unpleasant attitude. When I complained about the dirty kitchen the agent confronted me defending the cleaning company. When I insisted, she decided to send someone to validate my complaints without making up the time with me. We were out skiing all the week and couldn’t accommodate the visit. We also didn’t want to be bothered during our holiday. It’s given that the accommodation must be properly cleaned before the arrival of the guests. Checkout instructions were very demanding- we had to clean the kitchen, oven, fireplace, tidy everything up, take out the garbage, and take off the bed linens. For that price? We’re coming to Verbier since more than 20 years and stayed in many accommodations, including self-catering apartments. This was our worst stay ever. If it wasn’t for location, I would have given one star.
