“Not our cup of tea.”
Breakfast and Location was okay. Parking tight, as other people not parking correctly.
Needs decorating/freshening up. Shower has seen better days. Broken mattresses. Uncomfortable beds. Very used pillows. Dirty towels, even though we got fresh ones each day, still had stains on them. Previous persons rubbish under the bed. No WiFi in Room 4. Won't go back.
“A great affordable hotel, good for families”
Great location, only a short walk from the beach and nearby shops. Has free parking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bryan was an excellent host. Booked 3 different rooms for a family trip. All rooms were great. Ensuite, tv, cabinets and a wardrobe. Would recommend.

I enjoyed the friendly, family‑run atmosphere at Chester Lodge — the owners are welcoming, helpful and create a warm environment for guests. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Sandown beach, and the rooms were clean with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a good English spread served fresh.
