“Great location and beautiful clean apartment with everything you need for a short stay.”
The check in was easy as we got keys from a lockbox. Our flight arrived early and our host let us store our luggage there from 11.30am. The pictures of the property are accurate. The apartment was clean and had all the facilities we wanted. The washing machine also had dryer function so the clothes were mostly dry when we woke up in the morning if we put the laundry on before we went to bed. The bathroom was clean and the tub even had temperature regulation. It was so nice to soak after walking a lot during the day. It’s a convenient walk from Hiroshima station and there are a lot of people walking around at any hour. The kitchen was great and fully furnished. It was nice to have a meal together at the table and you could easily prepare breakfast. The drip coffee was nice.
The 2nd bedroom is a converted walk in closet with the bed taking up the whole space and no other room for luggage etc. You have to walk through the master bedroom. It’s ok for families but less privacy if traveling with work colleagues or even friends you don’t know as well. The beds are mattresses on the floor on top of wooden palates. You sink into the mattress and it’s a little soft. The staircase is narrow and steep but we kept our suitcases downstairs and opened them downstairs and only brought the things we needed upstairs. The day we arrived it was raining and we had luggage so we took a taxi from Hiroshima station. Because the road was narrow, the taxi refused to go to the apartment but dropped us off on the next corner and we got quite wet trying to get there. Please note that taxis won’t take you to the door as the street is too narrow but will only drop you about a block or couple blocks away.
