  Quiet. Well located. Comfortable. Off street parking.

  There was an outside light outside my room and very thin curtains which made sleep tricky.

  “A very comfortable and homely stay just five minutes by car from the loveliest town in South Africa.”

  Very welcoming and friendly hostess Joey who was almost always present. Several features make the room feel like a spacious apartment: extra packing and walk-in dressing space; very generous bathroom; glass doors onto open, sunny veranda and pool; fridge, microwave and kitchenware. No sink, but room service cleans kitchen stuff. Staff very accommodating of our need to sleep late. Quiet suburb, people strolling in the evening, and a nearby supermarket supplied all our needs. Sadly, not within walking distance of downtown Stellenbosch, where parking is at a premium. But the town supplies scooters for the brave to ride to the vibrant business, academic and social center with its many, many cafes!

  Use of TV remotes is a little complicated, and that did trip us up -- during a World Cup match! By the next evening, however, Joey had sorted it out. / Parking is tight. Had there been more than two cars, getting in and out of the space would have been tricky.
