Absolutely fantastic. The most comfortable room (and bed) I have stayed in a very long time. It was a nice touch to have a portable A/C unit in the room because it was unseasonably hot in Oxford that day. I loved the digital temperature setting for the shower as well.
If the room had an extra trash can (besides the small one in the bathroom) I would have rated my stay an 11 out of 10!

Die Raum war mit viel Liebe gestaltet und eingerichtet.
Da das Zimmer schwarz gestrichen war, war es sehr dunkel insgesamt. Leider konnten wir uns nicht in Wifi einloggen. Obwohl es während unseres Aufenthalts nicht heiß war (Außentemperatur 20 Grad und eher bewölkt), war das Zimmer im Dachgeschoss unglaublich aufgeheizt. Eine Klimaanlage wurde ins Zimmer gestellt. Diese war jedoch extrem laut - während sie läuft kann man nicht schlafen. Es gab zwar einen „Schlafmodus“, dieser änderte jedoch nur die Beleuchtung des Bedienfelds. Bei kühleren Außentemperaturen würde ich lieber einfach das Fenster öffnen.

The Mad Hatter’s is a wonderful place to stay and everyone was welcoming and helpful. Any minor issue that we had was taken care of immediately. The rooms are fun and well put together. We spent a few hours hanging out in their bar and the drinks were fabulous! The scene was really fun and it seemed to be full of local twenty somethings singing karaoke and enjoying themselves thoroughly- what a cool place to stay in Oxford!!!

This was a super comfortable and very elegantly furnished room. Like the neighbourhood it's situated in, The Mad Hatter's Guestrooms are upbeat and full of personality. Everything we wanted to see in Oxford was a mere walk away. The food choices in Cowley Road were flawless. The shower was so elegantly designed with heavenly water pressure. The bed was plush and huge. Whoever designed this place knew just what they were doing. Great!
The apartment has its peculiarities: it is not suitable of people who have difficulty with stairs. And anyone who doesn't want to stay above a nightspot should consider elsewhere. But for me, both the stairs and the joyful sounds from the lower floors were highlights, not problems. In fact, if there's one problem worth really mentioning, it's extrinsic: road works in Oxford City are taking far too long, and getting around the city is difficult. This must be a problem for all hospitality businesses across the city, but it is a blight on the visitor experience.
