“Top hospitality and excelent value”
I have been in Siargao for over a month now and stayed in a wide range of properties in different parts of the Island. All of my stays have been great General's Hideout though stands out as my favorite stay and chapter in my trip so far. The property is located on the outskirts of the village of Malinao which is very local and lively with a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. It is very close to the beach and a very good restaurant called El Carabao which also stands out as one of my best experiences here in Siargao and eat there every day. All off the Staff at Generals Hideout have made me feel absolutely at home and the added bonus of having very friendly dogs and a cat on the premises really makes me feel at home. I love saying here. Highly recommended :)
Everything was perfect
Gute ruhige Lage, sehr bequeme Betten, großes Zimmer. Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt sehr spontan um eine Nacht verlängern, Roller kann günstig über die Unterkunft organisiert werden. Außerdem gab es während dem Aufenthalt einmal ein Housekeeping, bei dem alles frisch gemacht wurde. Für Tierliebhaber: hier gibt es ein paar sehr liebe, gepflegte und zutrauliche Hunde, Welpen und Katzen.
Badezimmer entsprach kaum den Bildern, beim Duschen wird trotz Duschvorhang (zu kurz) der gesamte Boden nass. Die Eingangstür wird zum Abend abgesperrt. Auch wenn die Chefin sagt es sei immer jemand da um aufzumachen, empfanden wir dies als äußerst unpraktisch und wollten spätabends dann auch keine Mitarbeiter mehr wecken um die Tür zu öffnen. Vielleicht sollte man hier über einen Türcode oder für Gäste zugängliches Schloss nachdenken. Teilweise das Verhalten der Mitarbeiter gegenüber den Tieren. Schade, dass man hier handgreiflich wird oder zum Besen gegriffen wird.

I like that the General’s Hideout is quiet and peaceful. It’s also very friendly for digital nomads, with fast and reliable Wi-Fi.
We didn’t encounter any issues during my stay—everything was excellent.
Everything was amazing, but the puppies and cat were definitely a highlight
